OSVER.EXE : Operating System Detection Utility v1.3 : by Steven Wettberg
 
Usage: OSVER [/VERBOSE or /MAJOR] [/HELP] [/QUIET] 
 
/VERBOSE - Parameter that lets you detect the operating system to
the BUILD level.
/MAJOR - Parameter that detects the operating system at the major 
revision levels only. This is the default setting.
/HELP - Optional parameter, displays this help information
/QUIET - Optional parameter, suppresses all screen output

While in VERBOSE mode the program will return the following ERRORLEVELS
indicating the operating system.
ERRORLEVEL 15 = Windows XP
ERRORLEVEL 14 = Windows 2000 Terminal Services Session
ERRORLEVEL 13 = Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Server Edition
ERRORLEVEL 12 = Windows 2000 
ERRORLEVEL 11 = Windows NT 4.0
ERRORLEVEL 10 = Windows Millenium Edition
ERRORLEVEL 9  = Windows 98 Second Edition final retail/OEM
ERRORLEVEL 8  = Windows 98 SP1 final Update
ERRORLEVEL 7  = Windows 98 final retail/OEM
ERRORLEVEL 6  = Windows 95C OSR 2.5 final OEM
ERRORLEVEL 5  = Windows 95B OSR 2.1 final OEM
ERRORLEVEL 4  = Windows 95B OSR 2.1 final Update
ERRORLEVEL 3  = Windows 95B OSR 2.0 final OEM
ERRORLEVEL 2  = Windows 95a OSR1 final Update
ERRORLEVEL 1  = Windows 95 final OEM/Retail
 
While in MAJOR mode the program will return the following ERRORLEVELS
indicating the operating system.
ERRORLEVEL 7 = Windows XP
ERRORLEVEL 6 = Windows 2000 
ERRORLEVEL 5 = Windows NT 4.0
ERRORLEVEL 4 = Windows Millenium Edition
ERRORLEVEL 3 = Windows 98 Second Edition
